Adding your syllabus
Guide
Pick whichever way is easiest. Each one puts your courses and due dates in one place.
Import a syllabus
Open Courses and select Import syllabus. Choose a PDF, DOCX, TXT, Markdown, or HTML file, or paste the text instead. You can add a term start date if the syllabus uses dates such as “Week 3.”
Select Read syllabus. The app lists the assignments and due dates it finds, along with any grading breakdown it recognizes. Review the list, edit it if needed, choose an existing course or a new one, then select Add assignments. Nothing is saved before that last step.
This uses local AI. You need an internet connection only to download a local AI model if you have not done so already. Reading the syllabus does not need the internet after that.
Add assignments by hand
In Courses, select Add course. Open the course after you create it, then select Add assignment to enter a title and due date.
This does not need the internet.
Connect Canvas
Open Settings. In School calendar sync, find the Canvas full sync section. Paste your school's Canvas address and a personal access token, which is a code you copy from Canvas.
In Canvas, go to Account, then Settings, then New Access Token to make that code. Canvas sync brings in courses, assignments, submission status, and grades.
Canvas sync needs the internet.
Connect Moodle
Open Settings. In School calendar sync, find the Moodle section. Enter your school's Moodle address and sign in once with your school username and password. The app swaps them for a token and does not keep the password.
Moodle sync brings in courses, assignments, quiz deadlines, and grades. It needs the internet.
Paste a school calendar link
Open Settings and find School calendar sync. Paste your school calendar feed link and select Add feed, then Sync now. In Canvas, the link is under Calendar, then Calendar Feed.
The calendar feed needs the internet when it syncs.
